I think house boat at Kerala is the ultimate romantic experience and is highly recommended. I am confident that this experience is something which one will carry with him for life. The boat departs around 11 in the morning and brings backs by 10 the next morning. One driver, one cook and one care taker accompanies the guests. We did the house boat on the Christmas day. The journey in the houseboot was enjoyable. All the arrangements were done professionally and well coordinated. The captian of the boat and the chef were very co operative and friendly.Food was fine. But it would have been better if there had been some other activities like swimming, boating to keep the visitors engaged, rather than just staying in the boat. Dear Ajil, The facilities at Boat House is excellent. It is on par with any facility at a Hotel accomodation, be it the Bed, Sanitary Fittings, Furniture. The Chef preparations were sumptuous. We stayed one night on the houseboat. The state of the room was a little disappointing, the mattresses were thin, the blanket was just a thin sheet of cloth and the pillows were small and flat.
